Peb Jackson Memorial Lodge
A place Peb loved.
A legacy we carry forward.
A message from the founder, Brian Carpenter
If you’re reading this, it’s because Peb meant something to you, and you meant something to him.
For years, Peb gave his life to lifting up Christian leaders: listening to their stories, connecting them to one another, opening doors, and gently pointing people toward Jesus. He had a way of making every person feel like they were the most important person in the room.
Along that journey, God used one particular lodge in Montana as a backdrop for Peb’s friendships, adventures, and Kingdom work. It’s a place where he hunted, fished, laughed, mentored, and shared countless meals and stories.
Now, by an incredible act of generosity and timing, that same lodge is becoming a place where Peb’s legacy will continue for generations — as a dedicated Refuge location serving leaders year-round.
Today, we invite you to join us in bringing the Peb Jackson Memorial Lodge to life.
A word from Steering Committee Chair, David Segel
Peb devoted his life to lifting leaders, creating friendships, and welcoming people into beauty, rest, and adventure. This lodge gives us a chance to carry that legacy forward, together.
Why this lodge?
Peb didn’t just love people, he loved places where people could breathe deeply again.
This Montana lodge was one of those places.
He hunted birds here.
He fished these waters.
He walked these halls with friends.
He took photos of the dogs, the fields, and the river.
He gathered groups of leaders here for conversation, prayer, and play.
Long before anyone imagined it might someday carry his name, Peb loved this lodge.
Today, this world-class, formerly Orvis-Endorsed Lodge is being made available to Refuge virtually rent-free. It’s a rare opportunity to honor Peb’s story while expanding Refuge’s capacity to care for thousands of Christian leaders.
This lodge will become a place where leaders experience the same hospitality, clarity, joy, and presence Peb brought everywhere he went.

“Peb had this way of making you feel like you were the only person in the world for those few minutes you were together. He loved leaders. He loved beauty. He loved friendship. And he loved this lodge.
Our prayer is that the Peb Jackson Memorial Lodge will carry that same spirit for decades to come.”
