THE Peb Jackson LODGE

A place Peb loved - a legacy we carry forward.

WHO PEB WAS

Peb had a rare gift for making people feel seen. He loved deeply, welcomed generously, and had an instinct for gathering people in places where real conversations could happen.

Peb poured his life into leaders—listening, encouraging, and quietly helping them stay in the game. His love for adventure, friendship, faith, and hospitality shaped everyone who spent time with him.

The Peb Jackson Lodge carries that same spirit forward. By helping prepare this lodge, you’re honoring Peb and his wife, Sharon, not with a plaque or a name alone, but by continuing what he cared about most—creating space for leaders to rest, reconnect, and return healthier to the people who depend on them.

Why this lodge?

Peb didn’t just love people, he loved places where people could breathe deeply again.

This Montana lodge was one of those places.

He hunted birds here.

He fished these waters.

He walked these halls with friends.

He took photos of the dogs, the fields, and the river.

He gathered groups of leaders here for conversation, prayer, and play.

Long before anyone imagined it might someday carry his name, Peb loved this lodge.

Today, this world-class, formerly Orvis-Endorsed Lodge is being made available to Refuge virtually rent-free.

It’s a rare opportunity to honor Peb and Sharon’s story while expanding Refuge’s capacity to care for thousands of Christian leaders.

This lodge will become a place where leaders experience the same hospitality, clarity, joy, and presence Peb brought everywhere he went.

A SHARED VISION

This project is being carried by people who knew Peb, loved him, and believe deeply in the legacy he left behind.

The Need & the Opportunity

Preparing this lodge is a $2 million capital project that allows Refuge to expand its capacity in a meaningful and sustainable way.

This effort is being carried together:

  • Refuge is raising $1 million through its broader donor community, and

  • Friends of Peb are raising an additional $1 million, bringing the total needed to $2 million.

With the lodge fully prepared, Refuge will add 20+ new guest beds and increase its ability to serve leaders by up to 1,700 additional pastors, missionaries, and ministry leaders each year. This expansion reduces waiting lists and allows Refuge to say “yes” to leaders who need care before burnout, breakdown, or departure from ministry.

Funds raised will go directly toward preparing the lodge for use, including furnishings, kitchen outfitting, boats, trucks, equipment, light renovations, and staffing—everything required to host leaders with the excellence, warmth, and care Refuge is known for.

This is a rare opportunity to expand impact without taking on long-term debt, creating more sacred space for leaders to rest, recalibrate, and stay in the game.

Make my pledge

At this stage, we’re inviting pledges, not immediate gifts. Your pledge simply helps us understand participation and move forward with confidence as we finalize the project.

All pledges are kept confidential. Once the property is secured and the lodge is ready to close, we’ll follow up personally with clear instructions for how to activate your gift through The National Christian Foundation (NCF).

Thank you for prayerfully considering how you might be part of bringing this lodge to life.

“Peb had this way of making you feel like you were the only person in the world for those few minutes you were together. He loved leaders. He loved beauty. He loved friendship. And he loved this lodge.

Our prayer is that the Peb Jackson Lodge will carry that same spirit for decades to come.”
